General

The Generac Power Plan is an extension of the coverage provided under our limited warranty, including costs for parts and labor. Our plan keeps you covered should an unexpected operational or mechanical breakdown occur with your product.

You can purchase the Generac Power Plan for home standby generators up to five years after the original installation; for portable generators and power washers, you can purchase anytime within twelve months from your product purchase date.
Your coverage begins with your product's installation date. Your contract start date will reflect the installation date.
The Generac Power Plan is certified and backed by Generac . Repairs will be performed by Generac authorized dealers located throughout the country, for the term of the Generac Power Plan.
Generac offers flexible term coverage up to 10 years of full coverage (or 2,000 hours whichever comes first) for Home Standby units purchased after 2013 and a 5 year plan for portable generators and power washers. The Generac Power Plan term begins with your product's original purchase/installation date and not on the date the plan is purchased.
Coverage starts immediately upon purchase of the plan. Please allow up to 3-5 days for the plan to be registered in our systems.

There is no deductible required to obtain service for Your Covered Product.
Please review the Terms & Conditions and consult your Owner's Manual regarding your maintenance responsibilities.
Customers may cancel the Power Plan at any time by contacting us at (866) 309-4139. If You cancel within thirty (30) days of purchase of your Power Plan, You will receive a full refund of the Retail Charge paid, minus the cost of any claims paid. If We cancel for non-payment by You, You will receive a full refund on funds paid to us as of the cancellation date, minus the cost of any claims paid as of that date.

Service of your Generac Home Standby generator may be performed by an authorized Generac service dealer. Please contact your installing dealer with service requests and any questions. If you are not currently partnering with a Generac servicing dealer, please call Customer Service 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year at (888) 436-3722.

FlexPay is a partial payment option available for debit or credit card purchases. A partial payment plan is defined as a plan that is not paid in full at the time of the initial purchase. There is a one-time $4 administrative fee added to the contract purchase price. The selection of FlexPay as a payment option must be made at the time of purchase. FlexPay payments must be received by the scheduled date or your Power Plan will be suspended until payment is received. The payment schedule will be provided to you at the time of the initial purchase. You are responsible for ensuring that your method of payment (credit or debit card) is valid for each scheduled payment.

Should you fail to resolve a payment issue, your contract will be cancelled and we will issue you a refund of the amount you have already paid.

Should you have a claim to file before your FlexPay payments have been complete, you will be required to pay any remaining balance due before we can honor your claim.

Following your purchase, you will receive a contract in the mail from Generac including your coverage dates and the detailed Terms & Conditions.
The Generac Power Plan on your Home Standby Generator is transferable. Please call us at (888) 436-3722.
The Generac Power Plan Terms & Conditions will be sent to you at the address you provide when purchasing the Plan. If you purchase a Plan via this website, a purchase confirmation will also be emailed to you at the email address you provide during the checkout process and will include a link to the Terms & Conditions found on this website.

Generac manufacturers standby generators in a partnership with Honeywell. Both brands offer power back-up with a similar product range. Honeywell generators are made by Generac. Honeywell brand generators are eligible for extended coverage under Generac's Power Plan program.
